What’s on offer?
RefIT Bridlington a recycler and refurbisher of IT equipment owned by East Riding of Yorkshire Council. Working in partnership with Refurbit in Hull, it also collects unwanted items from local businesses. All data on donated computers is first removed to ESG standards.
RefIT is committed to minimising electronic waste and resource efficiency.
Where possible items are repaired or refurbished before being sold on at low cost to local businesses, community groups and individuals. If items cannot be reused they are disposed of in line with current WEEE regulations.
RefIT offers a comprehensive business support programme, with a particular focus on helping new or emerging businesses meet their IT procurement and disposal needs. The programme also includes free e-learning courses.
Other services include:
*Repair, installation and upgrade using recycled components for desktop PCs and laptops
*Hard drive data destruction - £5 per unit
*Installation of wireless networks

RefIT is accredited as a WEEE refurbisher by the ICER and is registered with the Environment Agency as a hazardous waste producer. It also holds a paragraph 40 exemption under the Environmental Permitting (England & Wales) Regulations 2007.
